Service NSW announces storm and flood assistance available to businesses

Disaster recovery assistance for eligible small businesses and not-for-profit organisations impacted by the storms and floods in the past 12 months. Support ranges from grants and loans to transport subsidies available, to help you get your business back up and running. 

The aim is to provide immediate relief to eligible primary producers, small businesses and non-profit organisations, for clean-up and restoration costs in the aftermath of extreme natural disasters.

Disaster relief loans
Your organisation or business may be eligible for the following special loans and subsidies if it was affected by storms and floods in August and September 2022. 

  • For small business
    Small businesses may be eligible for a low-interest loan up to $130,000 to help replace and repair damage caused to property.

  • For not-for-profits
    Not-for-profit organisations affected by flooding or storm damage may apply for up to $25,000 in low-interest loans.

  • For sporting and recreation clubs
    A low-interest loan of up to $10,000 is available to meet the costs of restoring essential club facilities, equipment or other assets that were damaged or destroyed.

  • Transport subsidy for farmers
    Up to $15,000 for primary producers who are affected by a declared natural disaster event.

  • Donated fodder transport subsidy
    This scheme provides funding assistance to organisations that donate and transport fodder for livestock.
