About the Special Disaster Grants
The NSW and Australian Governments have announced Special Disaster Grants of up to $75,000 for primary producers who have been impacted by severe flooding events that began on 4 August 2022 and also from 14 September 2022. Natural disaster recovery grants provide immediate relief to eligible primary producers, small businesses and non-profit organisations, for clean-up and restoration costs in the aftermath of extreme natural disasters.
This Grant program is jointly funded by the Australian and NSW Government’s under the Disaster Recovery Funding Arrangements. The RAA administers primary producer grant programs in NSW on Resilience NSW’s behalf, as per the NSW Disaster Assistance Guidelines. The Rural Financial Counselling Service is recommended by the RAA to producers who would like assistance with their application and subsequent claims.
