Douglas is motivated by partnering with his clients and working with them through whatever challenges they may be facing. That may be finding a way to see a business dream come true, taking care of their family members, or solving a complex tax matter. Douglas sees mastery of the complexities of accounting and business as a tool to help people achieve better outcomes from the challenges that life throws at all of us.

Douglas has almost 10 years of experience in taxation, SMSF compliance and business advisory services. He loves to see systems optimised for simplicity and efficiency and then targeted to achieve desired outcomes. His satisfaction comes from seeing thriving businesses, fat cattle and paddocks of improved pasture and celebrating with clients when they achieve what they were seeking.

The road to accounting has been a longer one for Douglas. He began his professional career in law in Sydney, spent 10 years running a Non-Profit in Newcastle and taught Biblical Studies at USyd before coming to his career as an accountant. He lives on his small farm outside Batlow, is a retained Firefighter with the Batlow Brigade and works to help his community in any way he can.
