Position Available: Client Services Manager - Tax & Business Services
We are seeking an experienced Client Services Manager - Tax & Business Services to join our growing public practice team.
This is a senior client‑facing role responsible for managing a portfolio of clients, overseeing the delivery of accounting and taxation services, and leading and mentoring a team of professionals.
Key Responsibilities
Client Service & Advisory
Act as the primary point of contact for a portfolio of business clients
Deliver proactive accounting, taxation, and business advisory services tailored to client needs
Build long‑term, trusted client relationships based on professionalism and technical excellence
Identify opportunities for value‑added services such as business structuring, succession planning, and financial planning
Work directly with a Director to manage and develop the client base
Technical & Compliance
Review and finalise financial statements, income tax returns, BAS, FBT, and related compliance work
Ensure all work complies with Australian Accounting Standards, ATO requirements, and relevant legislation
Stay up to date with changes in tax law, accounting standards, and regulatory frameworks
Provide technical guidance and support to team members on complex matters
Team Leadership & Development
Supervise, review, and support work prepared by accountants and senior accountants
Mentor and coach team members, supporting their professional development
Assist with recruitment, performance reviews, and staff training
Foster a collaborative, inclusive, and high‑performance team culture
Practice & Strategic Contribution
Assist Directors with workflow management and resource allocation
Contribute to business development activities, networking, and representing the firm externally
Support firm policies, procedures, and quality assurance programs
Identify and lead process improvements to enhance efficiency and service delivery
Collaborate with Directors on strategic planning, firm growth, and client retention initiatives
About You
You are a confident and commercially minded accounting professional who enjoys building client relationships and leading teams.
You will bring:
CA or CPA qualification
Significant experience in public practice accounting
Strong technical knowledge across accounting, taxation, and compliance
Proven ability to manage client relationships at a senior level
Excellent leadership, mentoring, and people management skills
Strong communication, problem‑solving, and time management capabilities
The ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
