NSW Mouse Control Program – Zinc Phosphide rebate for Primary Producers

The NSW Government's Mouse Control Program – Zinc Phosphide Rebate program is available to eligible primary producers experiencing financial hardship as a result of the 2021 mouse plague, to help with the cost of purchasing the critical mouse control chemical zinc phosphide.

As part of the NSW Government’s $150 million mice support package, zinc phosphide rebates for primary producers are now available through the NSW Rural Assistance Authority.

Eligible primary producers can apply for a rebate of 50% for the purchase of the critical mouse control chemical zinc phosphide, up to $10,000, to provide financial and cash flow relief to those experiencing financial hardship as a result of the mice plague.

Approved applicants can submit a single claim for a rebate on zinc phosphide bought between 1 January 2021 and 17 December 2021 to eradicate mice during the 2021 mouse plague.

Applications can be made online via the NSW Rural Assistance Authority (RAA) and are open until 17 December 2021. All invoices must be submitted to the RAA by 28 January 2022.

Claims can only be paid until the closing date or earlier if available funds are expended.
